Accessing And Correcting Your Information

You can confirm or correct what information we may hold by accessing your Personal Account settings and changing or deleting any data there.

To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making changes or corrections to any of your personally identifiable information. You will require a valid Username and PassWord.

Downloading Your Data

To download a copy of the information we hold –

  1. Go to your User Homepage;
  2. In the “Useful Information” window click “Download Personal Data”;
  3. A new page will appear – enter your Password (just to make sure you ARE you!);
  4. A file will appear in your computer’s “Downloads”.

 

Advice or Warning?

If you’ve received an email informing you that our servers have detected “Simultaneous Logins”, this means that three (3) (or more) devices are trying your account at the same time.

This might might mean that someone is using your account without your knowledge. If someones gets hold of your login credentials, these could be on sold, opening TDVP to an extensive abuse of service attack.

It commonly means however, that you might have login using your phone, laptop, and then say tablet to access your account without logging out on any particular device.

The solution – just log out on one of the devices.


A limit of Two (2)

Most Accounts on The Dance Video Place have a limit of 2 simultaneous logins per account.

This means you and your dance partner can both watch a lesson (or different lessons?) at the same time.

The “Terms and Conditions” page (here) specify how many simultaneous logins your account is permitted.


3 or more becomes a pattern?

If our servers detect attempts of 3 simultaneous logins or connections, the entire account COULD be frozen.

This might not happen the first time there are 3 attempted simultaneous logins, but if a pattern of develops, then the entire User Account will be automatically “frozen”.

To “unfreeze”, you’ll need to Contact Us with your email address & username, stating the issue.
